The Summer – Fall Wardrobe Transition
August is a bit of a mixed-up month when it comes to getting dressed. Many people are tired of the high temps and are aching for fall and the cozy clothes that come with it. Others don’t want to give up their shorts and deck shoes and don’t even want to think about the end of the season. And with August comes hot days and cool nights, blurring the lines further on what is weather appropriate. So what to do when it comes to shopping? How about pick out pieces that will work now AND once the cooler temps arrives? You might be surprised at how some summer basics can seamlessly transition into your autumn wardrobe, you just need to know how to style them.
Angelino Black Plaid Blazer
For Now: Wear it with long white denim shorts, a bright red tee and some black deck shoes.
For Later: Try a white button-front dress shirt, slim black pants and a black and white patterned tie for a cool mixed-print look.
Khaki Military Shirt from Knock Out
For Now: Roll up the sleeves, unbutton the top couple of buttons, and layer it over a white tank and white jeans.
For Later: Go full on military by wearing slouchy, beat-up blue jeans and a pair of butt-kicking combat boots.

For Now: Layer it atop a white t-shirt and pair it with some blue jeans and black canvas sneakers.
